I dislike:
Putting people down. And people who put people down. It’s unnecessary. Give creative criticism. Don’t put someone down. It affects life like you can’t imagine. People stop painting, singing, dancing. They change, become some other form of themselves. And that should not be on you.
I do not like hidden-meaning messages. Mostly because I don’t understand them. Do you get how they are almost lies? ‘I don’t want ice cream’ will never mean ‘you were mean to my dog that day so I am showing you that I am mad at you by not eating the thing you offered.’ I will not get you ice cream.
I dislike normative. Things that the world establishes or derives from a standard or norm, especially of behavior. The Rights and the wrongs. It is normative that’s telling you that you are too thin, too busted, too loud, it won’t let you wear a bikini or go bald. It won’t let a Marwadi girl like non-vegetarian food. But I want to love all food. And brain refuses to let me touch or like prawns. And I don’t want to miss out on the best-prawns-curry-ever in Pondicherry and I don’t want to die without knowing how it feels to kiss a girl. Normatives limit.
I also dislike heat, hair on the floor, chewing noisily, shoe bites, EDM, people who imply their ‘sorry’s.
I hate bras. Hate ’em.
