I want all of us to be like children- know no rules, hold nothing as absolute truth. They sit in mud if they feel like it. If they see water, they splash. They smear their hands with anything gooey or powdery. If they are energetic, they yell and run. If they are sad, they cry. They don’t do anything they don’t approve of. And they still refuse to harm anyone or anything. Let’s be like them. We’ll be so much more fun to talk to!
“Daddy what is a Beyonce and why is it so famous?”
“Daddy, you said my skin is made of cells; if I squish really hard will a cell pop out of my hand?”
“If anyone is wondering why I am walking around the hall like this…I am doing it to hatch my egg.”
“I is for ILOVEYOU!”
“Don’t be scared, I’ll protect you.”
“Is this coffee?”
“This is not coffee.”
“If I tell you what I saw on the news channel yesterday, you’ll cringe. Why can’t people just watch Tarak Mehta ka Ulta Chashma?”
“I think you should marry my cousin”
“No! Why can’t I play cards with big people?”
“When we go to Manali, grandpa will be with grandma. He will take care of her from heaven.”
“And then Cinderella put the little mice in her crystal shoes like it was her purse!”
“I wanna be a policeman when I grow up, what do you want to be?”
“In recess, I play on the swing and he plays on the slide. We fight the rest of the time.”
“From this moment on you are all to call me Chamki”
“Who is your best friend?”
“Siri, can you give me money?”
