Let me tell you how my Rakshabandhan is different from your Rakshabandhan. I am the eldest one of all my cousins. So, at Rakshabandhan I tie rakhis to a bunch of 3/4-year-olds. At lunch, when a bunch of adults was worrying about the kids playing on the terrace without adult supervision, I was no help because I might trip and land myself on an electric cable in all my clumsy glory. At that, my 2-year-old baby brother yelled from the back
“Don’t be scared, I’ll plotect you. Let’s go now.”
Don’t melt yet. The gifts are super adorable too! This time I got a pink and green compass box with a yellow smiley face on it, a Dora the explorer mug, a yellow water bottle with grey polka dots on it, and a thing that looks like a pen but when you open it, it is a pair of surprise scissors.
