I don’t know what it is about fathers that the universe granted them usable wisdom and the power of narration. My wisdom goes like “2 molecules of hydrogen and 1 of oxygen…” My fathers, on the other hand, speaks in pure old-classic-movie-that-reviewers-appreciate quote-like sentences. And I would not have got through life without them. It would be selfish not to share the good things in life, so here are 2:
- “If you don’t like 2 people out of 5, there is probably something wrong with them. But if you don’t like 4 out of 5, there is something definitely wrong with you.”
- For when the universe conspires to make you sad- “निर्जिव गोष्टीं पेक्षा सजीव गोष्टिं मौल्यवान असाव्या.” (value the living more than you do things) For when the roommate is nice but the bathroom sucks.
