Babyr’s story
I don’t want to eat your cakes and cookies. I want you to make me the Blackberry and Apple Crumble that Granny Pig made for Peppa.
My experience baking, eating and feeding Blackberry and Apple Crumble
- I would not make any dessert that has apple in it, especially for someone who can barely talk, had it not been for the daily interrogation and persuasion this person put me through. What pushed me over the edge were the people on the internet who had already made blackberry and apple crumble for their kids inspired by Peppa Pig. What big big tiny world this!
- I made the smallest quantity possible: just 1 apple and a handful of dried blackberries. I was sure no one at home would eat it. I was wrong. Dadi and mummy loved it and finished it the same day.
- I am grumpy because I can’t source fresh blackberries, mulberries or any other berries. Berries are the best thing about nature.
The fact that babyR and I, for that matter, have only American tv shows to watch is upsetting. I remember watching the Flintstones and Jetsons and wondering what ham was. And now I watch babyR navigate cultural and geographical differences in which pigs are endeared friends, food as well as dirty animals coming out of a puddle.
